Patricia (Trish) Simner, Ph.D., D(ABMM)
Dr. Trish Simner is an associate professor at Johns Hopkins University and Director of the Medical Bacteriology and Parasitology Laboratories at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at University of Manitoba in Canada, and a Clinical Microbiology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Simner’s research interests include understanding the molecular mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance, applications of sequencing for surveillance and hospital outbreak detection, and use of sequencing for clinical diagnostics.
